Cookstown 2-9
Augher 1-11

Seniors defeat Augher to go into play offs.
Fr Rocks faced Augher at Paddy Cullen Park on Sunday with victory a must to obtain a place in the top four of the league. It was the visitors who got off to the better start with a brace of scores from Jamie Donnelly opening a two point gap in the opening minutes. Fr Rocks began to put their slow start behind them when a James McGahan double brought the teams level. Owen Mulligan and Donnelly traded scores before Cookstown took control of the contest, kicking 1-4 without reply, to leave them with a six point lead at the interval. J Gilmore, R Pickering, and Owen Mulligan (2) all pointing and James McGahan scoring the only goal of the half. The half time score was 1-7 to 0-4 with Cookstown looking to be in control of the game. Augher however dominated the opening exchanges in the second half, and scored 1-4 without reply to go into a one point lead. Fr Rocks managed to stop the tide when Owen Mulligan landed a free to level an absorbing contest. Cookstown took the lead again, with a Martin Murray effort, however Augher again replied to leave the game all square mid way through the half 1-9 to 1-9. The decisive moment in the game came in the 58th minute when the superb James McGahan finished to the net to put the Rocks into a decisive lead. The visitors once again hit back and kicked the final two scores deep in injury time, as Cookstown held on to secure a top four play off, on a final scoreline of 2-9 to 1-11. This was a great team performance, with Cookstown having to grind out a hard earned victory. It means that the club has finished in joint fourth position with Carrickmore, and must face them in a league play off, in order to enter the league semi finals. This has been one of Fr Rocks highest finishes in the league in many years, and a big well done must go to all the players and management for their efforts. The play off game with Carrickmore will take place this week.

Reserves exit Championship
Fr Rocks reserves exited the championship to Clonoe at the weekend. It proved to be a difficult day for the young Rocks team. The club would like to thank  the management and players on what has been a brilliant season, with the team remaining unbeaten right up until the penultimate weekend of the season. Well done to all involved.
